Residence Moortown FAQs
Is there parking available?
There are sometime spaces available to the front of Residence Moortown. However, spaces are limited, and some are reserved for the shops that they are opposite to. Marks and Spencer’s allows people visiting the parade to use their car park, this car park has a two-hour limit.
Weekdays after 16:30 and all weekend, the residential behind the restaurant allows parking. However, we ask that if you do choose to park in that area, that you are respectful to our neighbours. There is unrestricted parking a short 5-minute walk away. Down Harrogate Rd at the Lidgett Lane and Moorland Drive intersection is a good option as well.
Do you take bookings during the day?
For our breakfast/lunch menu, 09:00-16:00, we take bookings for groups of 6 and over. Otherwise, we operate on a first come, first serve basis. We take bookings for Bottomless Brunch for any party of 2 and over, please note that the bottomless fee must be paid upon booking.
Please do not book for tables of 6 and above or bottomless if you are just trying to get booked in. We have largely operated on a walk-in basis since day 1, we will get you sat and fed as quickly as possible.
Do you take bookings during the evening?
Yes! We take bookings for diners from 5pm. If you are just here for the bar, then no booking is required.
Can I book for outside?
All bookings will be assigned to inside tables, as the British weather cannot be trusted. If we can sit you outside, then we will.
Do you allow laptops?
Yes and no. Mostly no. During the weekends it's 100% no. During the week we are a bit more flexible. If you are having a working lunch and want to use your laptop whilst waiting for your food, then that's fine. Or if you’ve eaten and want to use your laptop after your meal then that is fine also
Off peak (Monday to Thursday 15:00-17:00) if you want a drink whilst you do a little work. No problem at all. Please bear in mind we don’t have plug sockets around the restaurant though.
Can I just come for just a coffee?
Yes, during the day, we use most of the restaurant for dining only but if we have space then you are more than welcome to join us for a coffee. If it is busy and we are tight on space, please don’t be offended if we prioritise those that are dining. Please note, we do not do cake or pastries.
What about if we want to come for a drink? Beer, wine or cocktails etc
For the busiest parts of the week, we largely follow the same rule if as above. However, if you want to join us to enjoy the bar, the lunch rush eases after 3pm so you should be able to find a seat easily. We try and reserve some seats for drinkers in the evening even if we are approaching fully booked.
Are you child friendly?
Children are welcome all day until 21:00. We do ask that children are always supervised with bums on seats and no climbing over furniture etc - we are a busy venue and would like to avoid anyone getting knocked over. We have a small children's menu, highchairs and a baby changer on site. We appreciate help with cleaning up after your children. On busy days, we have limited space for prams and buggies that don’t fold up but will always try our best to accommodate them!
Are you dog friendly?
100%
However, dogs must be toilet trained, on a leash and always controlled.
Do you have an allergen menu, and do you cater for Gluten Free?
We have a full allergen matrix on site which breaks down each dish and lists their allergens according to The Food Safety Agency allergens list. Please ask a member of staff for a menu or advice if you have an allergen.
We try our very best to cater for people with Coeliac Disease. However, we can’t guarantee certain items that have a ‘may contain traces’ warning. To avoid cross contamination in our kitchen, we have different coloured chopping boards/knives, recommended gluten free alternatives and different cooking methods used. We also have a gluten free fryer which never has any gluten products through it. Please note, there are still gluten-based products in our kitchen.
Do you have disabled access?
Yes. Our door and entrance way is 1.2m wide so is wide enough for wheelchair access. The restaurant is one level so accessible, we have a disabled access toilet. Please note, if you require a table with wheelchair accessibility, we recommend phoning the shop first so we can make sure we can get an appropriate table ready.
